Payment and Insurance
We encourage potential clients to follow this process:
1) Call your insurance company to determine your benefits for out-of-network Neuropsychological and Psychological Testing.
It’s important to know that many insurance companies do not cover testing for certain diagnoses. Proving medical necessity is essential. Insurance often does not cover evaluations for:
● Learning Disorders
● Testing accommodations
● ADHD
● Other academic difficulties
A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation usually takes an average of 15 hours, including:
● Direct testing time
● Meetings and consultations
● Record review
● Scoring and analysis
● Report writing and treatment recommendations
Most insurance companies unfortunately do not cover the full number of hours required for these comprehensive services.
2. Cost & Payment
The total cost depends on case complexity and will be discussed and mutually agreed upon in writing before the first appointment.
We accept:
● Cash
● Check
● Credit card
● Electronic payment apps
All fees are due at the time of service. We may also offer 50/50% payment plans on a case-by-case basis.
For child/adolescent evaluations, the NY Department of Education may provide an Assessment Authorization for an Independent Neuropsychological Evaluation. If so, we accept direct payment from the DOE, and parents are not billed for services.
